Roof Replacement

Tear the whole roof off and put the right one back.

The work

Roof replacement, done right.

When the whole roof is done, patching won't save it. This is the full job — old roof torn off down to the deck, whatever we find underneath fixed, then re-covered with the system that actually fits your house. Asphalt, metal, cedar, or flat: we walk you through the trade-offs on the material's own page, then one crew handles it start to finish. No handoffs, no sub disappearing halfway through.

The detail

What we look at.

01

How we do it

It starts with a site walk and a straight recommendation on the system that fits your roof, your budget, and how long you're staying. Then full tear-off to the deck, rotten sheathing swapped, ice-and-water shield up the valleys and eaves, and the new roof laid to manufacturer spec. Same crew from the first day to the last, so nothing falls through a handoff.

02

Why a full tear-off

A layover hides everything that matters — deck rot, failed flashing, a soft spot you'd never catch from the ground. Roofing over it buries the problem and cuts the new roof's life in half. Tearing off is the only way to know what you're actually standing on. Most insurers won't cover a layover anyway.

03

What most contractors miss

Selling you the system they buy in bulk instead of the one your roof needs. Skipping the deck repair because it's extra work they never quoted. Reusing tired flashing to save an hour. We spec to the roof, replace the flashing, and fix the deck before we re-cover — every time.

Best for

Where it fits.

  • Roofs past the point of repair
  • Homes being bought or sold
  • Switching to a different material
  • Storm write-offs and insurance replacements

Frequently asked

What comes up on roof replacement site walks.

  • If it's one failed flashing or a section of lifted shingles, we repair it — cheaper and faster for you. Full replacement is for a roof that's failing across the field, leaking in more than one spot, or simply out of years. We'll walk it and tell you straight which one you're looking at, not push you into a re-roof you don't need.

  • Depends on your roof pitch, your budget, and how long you're staying. Asphalt is the default for most homes, metal is the 50-year play, cedar suits character homes, and flat sections need torch-on. Each one has its own page with the full trade-offs. On the site walk we give you a straight recommendation instead of a menu.

  • Two to four days for most asphalt jobs, five to nine for metal or cedar. Weather and the size of the roof move that. We give you a real timeline before we start, and we don't leave your roof open overnight — it's dried in every evening.

  • Yes. We check every plane once the old roof is off, and any soft or rotten sheathing gets swapped before the new roof goes down. Deck repair is priced per sheet and you approve it before we do it. Nothing lands on the invoice without your say-so.

  • Yes. We document the roof with drone and on-roof photos, write the scope for the adjuster, and deal directly with your insurer. You get a copy of everything we send. No inflated scopes, no fake supplements.
